Hey peepz. Life has been busy lately so I haven't been keeping tabs on my LJ at all. Sorry!

So I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL ON FRIDAY. Wow. I still can't believe it. I'M...GETTING OLD! D=
Graduation practice was hot and suckish and way too early in the morning. We had to be there for practice at 8AM. UGHH! We left at around noon and I had to speed over to Old Navy for a dress to wear under my gown/out to dinner. Got back, took a fifteen-minute nap, then took a shower and got ready. Back to the school at around 3PM. They lined us up, made sure everything was in place, and we walked out to the football field at 4PM. There were 415 graduates in the class of 2009 so the ceremony was long but I was one of the first ten to graduate since it's done in alphabetical order and my initials are A.A. Our class speakers (salutorian, valedictorian, and class president) had really nice speeches and of course I cried. :| After graduation was over my parents gave me a big bouquet of roses and took me out to dinner at Rod's Pub in Sea Girt, with is SERIOUSLY THE BEST RESTAURANT EVER, YOU CAN'T CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE. We went to the beach, too, and then by the time I got back I was so fucking tired that I slept for like eleven hours.
YESTERDAY was my friend Cassie's graduation party. It rained. RAINED. So much rain.

OH AND, YEAH, I got a car from my family as a present. =D Ohh, it's my baby. An old Honda Civic. I love it. I've been making up excuses to drive it places. XD!

This journal is so half-assed, but I fell asleep during Silent Hill and I'm exhausted. Urghh.

Toodles,
~Amy

When I made this journal, I told myself, "No plus account for me! Fuck advertisements! They're ugly and stupid!"
But...I really, really wanted more userpics, so I gave in. (;w;) I have absolutely no self control.

WHO CARES BECAUSE I HAVE FIFTEEN USERPICS, HAW HAW!

Anyway, so yesterday was my last full day of high school ever. Whut. Yeah. I don't even know. It's weird, because I know that I'm graduating but my brain has been a bit slow on processing that information. Journalism exam was easy-peasy - I don't even remember why I signed up to take that class, because I hate the news and will never do anything journalistic in my career as an illustrator/famous artist/heiress/movie star/fashion designer. YES, that is what I'm going to be when I growup. A famous illustration artist who starts in blockbuster hits and designs clothing.
Today my two exams were foundations of art at 7AM and anatomy&physiology at 9:30AM. I scored a 140 on my art exam. Seriously. Anatomy was considerably harder (so many little mones and muscles to remember!) but I passed with an 88! =) I was going to trek down to the beach around lunchtime but ended up falling asleep. I just woke up about an hour-and-a-half ago.

Unghh, I'm so hungry. -munching on cheez poofs-

Toodles!

Iplehouse is releasing their new EID (Elder Iplehouse Doll) female body at the end of the month. The doll will stand 65cm when complete, and comes with the option to add mobility joints as well as high heel parts.

I think I'm in love. This is the female body I've been DREAMING OF! Look at those curves! I've been waiting for a company to make a sculpt like this, since all of my female original characters have a bit more meat on their bones than a typical SD girl. Especially Amanda! Oh, god, I think I would sell my soul to have a Soom Dia head on one of these new EID bodies...
Amanda, by the way, is a character that has been living in this wide hole in my imagination since sixth grade; I'm now graduating high school! Ugh, the thought of doll!Amanda makes me jizz in my pants.

Someone buy one for me? Please~? My birthday is soon. =D
On the topic of non-BJD nonsense...
My job interview with Best Buy was yesterday, but I don't find out if I got the job until tomorrow, when the store manager gets back from vacation. (;_;) The anticipation is killing me.
After the interview, I spent two hours at the Starbucks in Barnes and Noble, reading books and magazines and eating yummy treats. I had a warm lemon raspberry bar with organic peach tea. D-e-l-icious. Picked up more rat food from the pet store, too, and played Neopets when I came home. NEOPETS! Laugh if you want, I don't care. Neopets is fucking sweet. If I could, I would be playing right now, but I'm in the school's upstairs library. Maybe I'll sneak on the computers in my photography class after my exam...

Mmm, oh man, nothing is better than the ice cream truck on a hot summer day. (>w<)
My brother is twelve and I'm eighteen - alright, nearly eighteen - yet we still run for the truck every time we hear that annoying polyphonic song echo through the neighborhood. I just launched myself out of the pool and jumped the fence like an Olympic hurdler with my five dollars in hand.

Gah, cookies and cream bars are so delicious!
I love living in New Jersey in the summer, especially in a beach town. Fun times. =3

So I didn't get as much done as I planned yesterday, because I volunteered to cook dinner and clean up in the kitchen. I did, however, get to mess around with my new Sculpey clay!

I tried to make a little jelly donut as shown in this cute tutorial.

My workstation out at the kitchen table. The cats were asleep on my craft table in the living room...
Essentials include: Sculpey III, 48 set of chalk pastels, bowl of water, stylus tools, paper towels, controls for the TV. =D

Dusting the top of the donut with mixed chalk pastels to give it a toasted brown color.

The result of the chalk 'blushing'! Little carved-out hole in the side is for the jelly filling.

Mixing up colors to give the 'jelly' a more realistic tint.

A better shot of all my materials, and of my messy kitchen table. (~_~)

The finished donut! The powdered sugar on the top is done with white chalk pastel dust, but I didn't have any varnish for it to stick to, so it all blew off when I took it out of the toaster oven.

The dessert I made for myself!
I wanted to bake a strawberry-creme cake but it was too late at night.

Might post a recipe for my strawberry-creme cake later.

Some asshole had the username I wanted and hasn't updated their god damn journal since 2004. HOW ANGRY DOES THAT MAKE YOU?
How did I come up with superlemonlime? I like Sierra Mist, a lemon lime soda, and I also like things to be super. How's that for logic?

Today has been a productive Saturday in comparison to what I usually do on the weekends, i.e. sleep eat and go to the bathroom. Kind of like a baby! I finished my screenplay for creative writing class, cleaned the rat cage, and have obtained a 30-samples pack of Sculpey III thanks to my wonderful mamma. All the tutorials on Den of Angels on how to sculpt miniature food has made me want to ... well, make miniature food! My plan for the afternoon is as follows:
- take a bath, a real bath, with bubble soap and all the goodies
- have lunch
- mess around with my new clay tools
- finish cleaning up my room
...although not in that exact order. I'm hungry right now, so after posting this I'll be scurrying into the kitchen.

As of today, I only have seventy-five cents saved for my Crobidoll R-Line Nia. I have a job interview on Tuesday, though, so I'm excited!
Although...the doll is probably not the most important thing. I need a car, and auto insurance, and a laptop, and art supplies. =D

Toodles!
